…”After Buhari, it is my turn” – Tinubu
The battle for the presidential ticket of the ruling party has intensified within the All Progressives Congress (APC) and dividing its National Working Committee, (NWC).

The recent outburst against the APC National Chairman, Sen. Abdullahi Adamu by Salihu Lukman and Isaacs Kekemeke, APC National Vice-Chairman (North-West) and (South-West) respectively, is a pointer to the rift and ongoing crisis pulling the house at its seams.
A source at the party’s National Secretariat says the pro-Tinubu members of the party’s NWC are railing for a showdown with those perceived to be in support of Amaechi, whose rating is believed to have gone up since President Buhari made a demand that the Progressive Governors should allow him to nominate his successor.
Meanwhile, Tinubu has said he was instrumental in Muhammadu Buhari becoming Nigeria’s president.

The presidential hopeful stated this while meeting the governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, along with leaders and delegates of the party at the Presidential Lodge, Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital. The aspirant was in the State to meet APC delegates ahead of the party’s presidential primaries next week.
On the role he played in Osinbajo’s vicejpresidency, Tinubu retold the story of how Buhari initially approached him to become his running mate ahead of the 2015 election.
The Asiwaju told the delegates that he is the best bet to represent the APC at the presidential polls saying he has a wealth of experience.
“It is my time; I’m educated, I’m experienced. I have been serving you for a long time. Bring me the presidency; it is my turn”, he insisted.
